HISTORY

pfeffermint was established in 1999 as a one-woman company by Britta Hagen in Schaffhausen. Within a short period of time, she developed a reputation for her display windows, scenographic, interior and stage designs which emanated way beyond the borders of this small town. After moving to Zurich, pfeffermint quickly gained ground in the new environment. Simon Renggli joined the company in 2006 and in 2009 they established a GmbH (LLC). Britta Hagen’s experience and skill set in scenography, interior design and decor was complemented by Simon Renggli’s strengths in the fields of graphic design, branding and identity, events as well as in book and magazine design. Until 2004, Britta Hagen was responsible for the largest Swiss fashion show „Gwand“ and subsequently, together with Simon Renggli, also for the succession event of the Swiss Textile Federation, the „Stella Awards“. In addition the spectacular centennial anniversary of the luxury department store Globus in Zurich was designed, planned and produced by pfeffermint. Since 2010, new faces have been added to the pfeffermint team and grew with the company. By 2014, pfeffermint, employed four permanent employees and approximately a dozen employees work on an hourly basis. In addition, pfeffermint works with a large number of freelancers and specialists.
